1. General Items
1.1 World Senior Championships instead of a Trophy
The USA had written a letter requesting Championship status for the World Seniors.
As many countries are now participating, it seems appropriate that the status be upgraded to Championships. There was a concern that the word “senior” would not clearly delineate it from the “open” Championships. The TC agreed to propose to the EB a new Championship - The World Veteran Championships.
As a Senior skier, I refuse to be called „Veteran“ and ask the WTC and EB of the IWSF to refrain from including the word „Veteran“ in any Championships for skiers over 35 years of age.
